School Improvement Day
Greetings Spring Trail Bucket Fillers,
I hope our students are enjoying a day away from school-working on Reading and Mathematics and filling buckets whenever possible.
Our teachers are hard at work today planning ways to improve our student's learning for the rest of this year and the future.
I hope you all enjoy the weekend. I am still training for the upcoming Chicago Marathon-one week from Sunday.
Thank you for being fantastic Bucket Fillers.

PTO Meeting/McDonald's Family Night
Happy Friday.
Just wanted to announce that Spring Trail will be hosting a McDonald's Family night on Tuesday, September 15th. As you all know, McDonald's night is a chance for our community to gather and share a meal while raising money for the Spring Trail Literacy Fund. This fund was used to purchase books for every one of our students as they returned to school this year. The goal for next year is to purchase two books and have them mailed home in early August.
Please look for the McDonald's slip coming home on Monday. Extras will be available at the resturaunt.
Watch for me making ice cream cones and sundaes that evening!

Thursday at Spring Trail
Happy Thursday Spring Trail.
Today was a fantastic day! We started with a Parent Breakfast and talked about ways to improve our school.
There were over 80 Bucket Filler Referrals to the office this afternoon!
We also enjoyed a beautiful day.
Tomorrow is College Day at Spring Trail so encourage your student to wear the shirt from a favorite college team or sports team!

Reading Buddies at Spring Trail
Spring Trail is starting a Reading Buddies Program!
We are seeking volunteers to help tutor young readers during the school day.

Happy Tuesday Spring Trail Family,
Looking back on the past three days I realize how lucky we all were to have beautiful weather for outdoor activites. The Schroeder Family spent Saturday in Madison, Wisconsin, shopping the Farmer's Market for fresh produce and baked goods. Sunday and Monday were spent watching NASCAR, running in prepartion for the Marathon, and cleaning the house to prepare for Reagan's birthday party.
I hope you all received my message about our "Have You Filled a Bucket Today" book sale. We are also proud to be hosting a Breakfast with the Principal on Thursday morning at 8:30.
